Betsy Laughlin
An avid gardener, it is not surprising that Betsy Laughlin’s skills at cultivating client relationships come as second nature to her. Using her love of gardening as a metaphor for her success as a trusted real estate broker associate for LIV Sotheby's International Realty in Vail draws the perfect parallels. Gardens, like communities, are at their best with thoughtful tending. She takes the time necessary with her clients, both buyers and sellers, to understand their needs by listening, consistent attention, and follow through to help every customer achieve their goals. Early in her sales career Betsy helped clients protect their most important assets working for State Farm insurance. Since making the switch to real estate she has been involved in over $100 million in sales transactions.
Betsy stays active in real estate leadership roles as well. Locally, she served as a board member of the Vail Board of Realtors (VBR) from 2014-2019, served as MLS Chair for the VBR in 2017-2018, served as VBR Chair in 2019, was named Realtor of the Year in 2020, and currently serves on the Finance Committee and the Government Affairs Committee for the VBR. At the state level, Betsy was the 2020-2021 Mountain District Chair for the Colorado Association of Realtors (CAR). In 2022, Betsy was elected to serve as a Director for the Eagle-Vail Metropolitan District. She is an advocate for both the real estate community and homeowners, constantly weighing which need will have the most impact from her dedicated knowledge and time.
Betsy’s roots in the Eagle River Valley run deep. She moved here from Louisville, KY in 1996 with her husband, Ken. They raised two daughters here and continue to embrace the outdoors, skiing, hockey, soccer, and boating. She also, not surprisingly, is on the Committee for the Eagle-Vail Community Garden and has helped her neighborhood sustain a thriving place for growth, health, and wellness through gardening. She recognizes that a real estate sale is one of the single largest financial transactions of someone's life and hope that you find confidence in her services.
